In addition to PFAS, the certification covers a comprehensive suite of inorganic and organic contaminants aligned with state and federal drinking water standards. The decision reflects Metiri’s ongoing commitment to high-quality data, robust proficiency testing, and rigorous quality assurance practices.

“This certification enhances our ability to support municipalities, utilities, and engineering partners across the region,” said Neal Jankowski, Laboratory Manager, Geneva. “Our team remains committed to delivering precise, defensible results that help protect public health and the environment.”

“This milestone expands our ability to deliver the PFAS data Michigan needs—quickly, accurately, and with the transparency this work demands,” said Noelle DeStefano, National PFAS Sector Lead. “Regulators and communities are raising the bar on PFAS oversight, and Geneva’s certification ensures we can meet that moment with the right methods and the right science.”
